Preface

On March 9, 2026, our data collection team set out again to launch the spring special operation for AI air conditioner data collection in high-humidity environments. The total route is approximately 5,000 kilometers, heading west along the Yangtze River and then turning back, covering multiple high-humidity areas from Shanghai to Chongqing and then south to Guangxi.

Current Progress

As of today, the team has successfully completed on-site road testing and data collection in Wuhu and Tongling.

Why choose the route along the Yangtze River?

In spring, the Yangtze River basin experiences high humidity and variable temperatures, making it a typical scenario where core functions of air conditioners, such as dehumidification and temperature control, are frequently used. By collecting real user operating habits with air conditioners in high-humidity environments, we can help our AI model more accurately understand practical issues such as "what airflow setting to use on damp days" and "when to trigger defrosting and defogging."

What did we collect?

  • User comfort settings and preferences for air conditioners in medium/low temperature and medium/high humidity environments

  • Data related to intelligent defogging under various operating conditions in rainy and foggy weather

  • Comparative validation of energy optimization strategies and raw data collection in typical high-humidity winter scenarios

This data will be integrated with the "extreme cold data" collected in winter and the subsequent "high-temperature data" collected in summer to jointly build an air conditioner comfort model covering all climate conditions.

The Journey Continues

The team will continue along the planned route, passing through Wuhan, Yichang, and Chongqing, then heading south to Kunming, Liuzhou, Guilin, Beihai, and Nanning, before finally returning. More high-humidity scenario data is being collected.

From the extreme cold of Northeast China in winter to the rain-soaked regions south of the Yangtze River in spring, data collection is a dialogue with the climate. We are steadily drawing a complete "China Comfort Map" for AI air conditioners.

Stay tuned for further updates!
